I posted an article in the past that covers upgrading to one of the iMate roms, that might be worth a read.

For your headset, you're going to need a rom with A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile). I don't actually have a stereo headset yet, so it's not something I've been particularly looking for in the roms that I've used. 

Your best bet is probably to log on to the forums at http://forum.xda-developers.com and ask around. Find out what the recommended rom for the best A2DP support is, and go with that one. The instructions to upgrade should be on the forum, but failing that you can always come back here and use mine.

Have read a few of ur posts now, an i would providing all goes well like to thank you. I have jus got of the phone with T-Mobile uk and frankly i have never heard such BS! I just bought a stereo bluetooth headset only to realise i need the latest version of WM with aku2. T-mobile actually hung up on me because they said there was nothing else they could do! As a customer u are not allowed to talk to the tech support ppl u have to go through rude messengers that hang up u because they dnt know wat you are talking about. I am going to try and install the imate version but isit simple! I know the minimal, please could you advise me on steps i need to take as you seem to know wat ur doing. I just want the aku2 not the latest one! Cheers Appreciate it!</description>
