Thanks for this. I am just testing the water with WebFaction and reading as much reviews as I can, while uploading files and waiting for DNS to propagate…

Some other review defined it nicely – WebFaction is in the middle between dedicated hosting and shared hosting. So if you look at the control panel through these glasses, it is not so bad – as it is more for developers and less for casual WordPress installers.

But yes, I agree it could use some CSS touches to feel slightly more polished.

Finally, even though their support is relatively responsive, I have seen better both in terms of speed and efficiency of replies.

I’ve moved all my websites to Webfaction and have been very pleased. I think the control panel could use a few interface upgrades, but its still the fastest way to get a website up and running from scratch.

Hey, coming late to the party but had to get this off my chest, Ive had it with Media temple!!! They are nice and lovely people, unfortunately, their service has gone to the dogs! I will check out Webfaction and hopefully my website’s grass will be greener too.

Looks like you’ve stuck with webfaction, good choice. Those guys all seem on top of their game. My only issue is it seems their control panel is a little difficult to navigate.
