Daily Ramblings (2008-10-21)

  • Sounds like Apple might be updating the iMac very soon. Personally I’d love to see an updated Mini with the Nvidia chipset. Could do well. #
  • If anyone want a Boxee invite, I’ve got some. Not sure how many, but let me know and I’ll see what I can do. #
  • Boxee is Mac and Linux only at the moment. Just so you know… #
  • Call from a user: “I’ve just installed the IE 8 Beta, because MS told me to, and it’s broken important things. What should I do?” #
  • Answer: “Not install Microsoft betas, especially when you need IE for mission critical applications. Oh, and have fun reinstalling Windows.” #
  • Kill your blog? http://tinyurl.com/5f59ns #
  • Not sure how I feel about http://tinyurl.com/5f59ns – you can’t do everything in 140 characters, but this is easier to maintain. Hmm… #
  • I’m clearly a sucker for flamebait: http://is.gd/4ulI – but I can’t say the thought hadn’t occurred to me too. #
  • OK @Twitter: why shorten my urls for me if there’s space for the whole thing, but not when they _need_ shortening (ie > 140 chars)? Oddness. #
  • The idea of teh kittehs taking over @the_ape ’s command centre has amused me enormously. Admin kitteh, stealin’ your powerz. #
  • I just read the short story @MaxRenn posted the link to. Oh man that is _nasty_ – feel quite unwell now. Oddly, must read more of his stuff! #
