I've noticed that too! Meant to look into it further. Maybe it's a bandwidth thing? Certainly frustrating when it comes to streaming hd content.

I've managed to get the Xbox working as an extender to Windows 7 Media Center, but with one very strange problem... When I load up Media Center from the 360 it loads up in 640x480/480p/SD! So the interface doesn't look half as sharp as it should, but I don't know if there are any settings for this. I certainly can't find any.
I wouldn't mind so much, but I just got a satellite card so I can watch BBC HD!

I have the exact same issues as Guilou. I The same with AVI files not showing up and Media Center becomes unresponsive to the remote when I try to access video folders. I can watch photos just fine but the moment I go to videos the remote won't respond, only the guide.

Hi there, I have been dealing with windows 7 and had it working with my xbox 360; however it seems that it has some serious issues. The remote control lags and the xbox 360 freezes randomly. WMC becomes unresponsive to remote commands. All I can do is exit to the dash board and relaunch WMC again or turn off the xbox. I thought it was a firewall issue but had it completely disabled (after trying all configuration possibility) and got the same results. The nice thing about WMC now is that it can play AVI and AAC files.

The other issue is Windows media player 12. when trying to access the PC videos (AVI) on the xbox 360 only the main folders shows but not the video files. It works fine on WMP 11 (Vista)

So far the media center experience is buggy on Window 7 Beta as far as using it with the XBOX 360. is any one having the same issues, and is there a work around awaiting MS updates/fixes? Is there a away to uninstall WMP 12 and reinstall WMP 11 instead?
