About the author: Daniel Woolstencroft is in his late twenties, and works as an application developer (otherwise known as a computer programmer). Prior to beginning a career in technology, Daniel had dreamed of becoming a journalist, fiction writer, and/or film maker. The brain beat the heart; Daniel decided that paying the bills and having a roof over his head was an important part of life, and proved his talent for technology by acquiring a degree in computer science. Although fate dictated that making films was not for him, Daniel has continued to obsess over film and cinema throughout his life. He's also an avid gamer, and listens to a great volume and variety of music.

About the site: Is There Food began as a way of documenting which films and gigs Daniel attended; the idea being that he would look back at the end of a year and (hopefully) marvel at the amount of great things he'd seen over the past 12 months. It has eventually grown into the creature you find today; a site which contains Daniel's thoughts and reviews. Feel free to leave a comment on any article, or to use the contact form.
